Formerly the Sundale Community Foundation, the Nambour Community Foundation conducts an annual grant round designed to support local organisations with a focus on providing meaningful contributions to the local community.

The Nambour Community Foundation is overseen by our Board of Directors who are all local Sunshine Coast professionals who donate their time to Foundation operations and have a deep connection to giving and the local community.

Direct benefit to the community

By providing small cash grants, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 directly to local organisations, it allows for these groups to provide grass roots assistance and support.

Previous grants recipients have utilised grants for a range of purposes ranging from providing meals and services to those in need, inclusion to kids and families missing out, and a helping hand to community groups and organisations whose existence relies on volunteer sand the kindness of others.

Our History

Sundale Garden Village Nambour now Sundale Ltd, was founded in 1963 by the Apex Club of Nambour with strong support from a group of local businessmen. The mission was to provide accommodation and services for older citizens in the Nambour Community.

In 2013 Sundale, celebrated 50 years of service and as part of those celebrations announced an initiative to recognise the enormous community contributions from fund raising, gifts, donations, bequests and thousands of volunteer hours toward the success of Sundale. That initiative was the establishment of a Charitable Community Foundation under the direction of an independent Board of Directors.

Our History

Sundale Ltd generously gifted the new Sundale Community Foundation $1million in June 2016 ensuring that the Foundation would instantly be in a position to make grants to worthy charitable organisations within the operational area of Sundale Ltd.
